Fresh, simple, contemporary
Throughout the years, Leith’s has become known for its quintessentially British and honest style of cooking. Founded by Prue Leith in 1962, we have over fifty years of experience which undoubtedly secures us a special place among venue and event caterers.
Today we continue to create exceptional food that reflects Prue’s ‘simply better’ mantra. Our rejuvenated brand is stronger than ever and continues to be memorable in the minds of consumers for it’s modern British classic cuisine.
We only use the finest locally sourced produce to create our dishes, enabling us to maintain our commitment to quality.
Leith’s sources a great range of seasonal produce and also works closely with some fantastic local suppliers. Leith’s works with a local cheesemaker, Alsop & Walker of Mayfield, to create Glyndebourne’s very own cheese. This hard, pasteurised cow’s milk cheese is matured for six months during which time it is washed with a locally produced elderberry port. Named ‘Sir George’, it will be available in the Middle & Over Wallop restaurant during the Festival. A local brewery supplies Harvey’s beer and British sparkling wines will come from the Nyetimber Vineyard in Sussex. Last season, Leith’s also introduced new British ice cream range Jude’s ice cream, a family-run business from Hampshire.
